I have a 'bijou' studio at the bottom of the garden which I hide away in for hours - it is the equivalent of the Englishman's shed, indeed I call it 'The shed' and it is where I indulge my hobbies, so they don't impinge of the rest of the house. It also doubles as a home cinema and my listening room as well.
I've always seemed to have an interest in photography, since my teens, when I bought my first real camera and light meter. That first camera was a35mm Russian Zorki 4k with the matching Russian Leningrad meter and this lasted me for years, indeed I still have the meter to this day, but of course it never gets used now. This was followed by a moved to the Canon A1 and a second body in the shape of the Canon AT1, so I could take to types of film when I was shooting usually colour and a fast black and white. While this was going on various other cameras also came and went Twin Lens Reflex, some nice Compacts and Range Finders until I eventually moved to Medium Format. The brief encounter with the TLR had shown me the superb image quality available from the larger format film.
