As an introduction to my 'film page' perhaps a few words about my likes and dislikes! I love to watch foreign films, but generally with the subtitles 'on' as I've found I really dislike poor dubbing, however, there is one exception - those films from Scandinavia where I find the language hard on the ear and usually have to resort to the dubbed version. I'm also more than happy to park my brain, open a few beers and watch an all out action movie which has no link to reality at all - hence you may find there to be an 'odd' mix in my Best Films section. I won't being going to any great detail about the plot lines, social commentaries, sub-plots or why you should indeed watch these films, just hopefully point out some of the non-main stream films that are about and have given me (or not - see Worst Film section) much pleasure over the years.
I generally watch films in my little home cinema (have I mentioned 'The Shed'?) at the bottom of the garden, using a ceiling mounted projector giving about a 7 foot image on the opposing wall.
