Had a good Christmas & New Year, but as always this time of year, batteries seem to be a priority item! Now I've a firm believer in rechargeables (Ni-MH) and have been using them for the last ten year, but recently (which after ten years of use is perhaps to be expected) they are not holding their charge as well as they used too. Or more frequently now, my charger (see below) is 'flagging' them up as 'bad' cells. My old preferred supplier was 7dayshop, but recently I've been very pleased with Vapextech UK and have been ordering from them exclusively. Now rechageables seem to be a bit of a 'black art' subject, one of the factors that may have contributed to the longevity of my rechargeables is the rather old fashioned 'gentle' charger I use - takes about 24hrs to recharge a set of four AA's (2500 mAh). But as with all things these days, I'm now using a 1hr delta 'V' charger and it seems really fussy about the quality of the cells, so I wonder if I'll get tens years usage out of my new cells using this type of charger?
Born in 1956 (so getting on a bit now) I'm married and have two wonderful children we all live in Devon in the South West of England - on the Cornish border.
