The sun came out this afternoon so I went over to Mountbatten to continue getting used to the 40D but this time took out my old 30-70 and 100-300. I have to say I'm not getting on to well with my standard walkabout 18-125mm Sigma and am beginning to think there is an issue with the autofocus at the wider settings - very poor focus accuracy - so more to look into. Once again, I'm of the opinion that there are far to many options on this camera than I'm ever going to want (or need) and still feel that the 10D took better and more vibrant pictures. Still time will tell but I also need to sort out that longer strap and wouldn't mind a battery grip as I had on the 10D - really missing the 'portrait' optional shutter button. Few more pictures uploaded to the 'Places' main gallery, mostly of a ship turnng around - or whatever the nautical term is!
Born in 1956 (so getting on a bit now) I'm married and have two wonderful children we all live in Devon in the South West of England - on the Cornish border.
