Whilst looking round the web one evening, on the US based Adorama site, I was intrigued to see a reflector/modifier that looked as though it was based upon the 'V' mount design, but for another brand the Flashpoint II. Based on the rather minuscule price ($9.99) I thought I'd order one for a look see unfortunately the postage cost to the UK turned out to be a not so minuscule at $43! Now the previous Flashpoint heads either looked like those cheap & cheerful eBay offerings that turn up under various brands with no real mount or the up=market ones with the Bowens 'S' fit mount. Did a bit of a hunt around the net and came across this review which suggests the mount is actually the same as that used by Photogenic Photomaster lights - well that's even more confusing as the last time I came across a Photogenic light it had a rather poor external flange type mount! Anyway, was just hoping to find a nice cheap reflector for my 'old' V mount Variolite...but guess that's not to be, but if anyone know whether or not the two mounts are the same (Multiblitz 'V' & Flashpoint II that is) I wouldn't mind knowing.
