Well although I'm certainly no fan of Facebook (really the complete opposite) it was nice to get a note from Multiblitz USA via my 'Contact Me' page saying they had place a link to my Multiblitz Page on their Facebook page - this of course prompted a rapid re-read of what I'd said to ensure there where no typo's and the content made sense! I quite often visit the Multiblitz USA web pages as I've found it a useful resource for links and information. It also makes you wonder why say a Profilux Plus 200 costs £509 in the UK, but after shipping to the other side of the pond $599 (about £400 at current exchange rates) I guess that's the advantage of direct sales!
annoying that I deactivated it a few weeks later! I started off with it set quite open put a few posts on, a bit of history and a picture or two and within days I was getting loads of requests to be friends with people I have never known or as far as I could see had no reason for them to 'befriend' me! So started locking down information, accepted a few 'friends' put on a gallery or two, but in the end thought it as just a total waste of time and effort. To be honest the only reason I joined was to visit a group that was set-up for some evening class students to post pictures of their work on. But there is so little happening there and most of the activity was satellite to the group page, within the individuals own pages, so not much really being shared. It was even quite a chore to find out how to deactivate my Facebook page and in use I found most sections a bit confusing and difficult to navigate my way around - then again, I am just a simple country boy after all. Well at least I gave it a go and can at least say with some authority now, that it just isn't for me and I don't really understand the point of it all, especially as it seems to be filled mostly with total drivel!
Born in 1956 (so getting on a bit now) I'm married and have two wonderful children we all live in Devon in the South West of England - on the Cornish border.
