Decided it was about time we revisited Broomhill, as it always provides a both a wonderful place to walk, but also some superb art/sculptures to see with many surprises around every turn. Indeed as soon as you park the car, you are instantly presented with thought provoking art. Admission is very cheap (£5 at this time) for what is on offer and hundreds of photo opportunities' as you wander through the grounds.
This time around a softer subject matter - flowers - but with a very similar set-up to the last session & also just like the last session, no attendee's! As I wanted a soft-focus result, but rather than do this in post process, I dug out my old Pictorial Control add-on, which was designed to be used with old film enlargers to try. This wasn't as successful as I'd hoped as the 'blades' can be seen in the finished picture - not overly obvious, but still visible. This is a result of modern small sensor's within digital cameras and one of the reasons lens cleanliness is more necessary than ever before!
Other images can be seen in the At Play Gallery page.
Well only two more Meetup sessions planned before the groups closes, though I'm not expecting any improvement in attendance numbers, I do still wonder why people are still joining only to then have no further input! Got another couple of SN-PCJ's last week!
Born in 1956 (so getting on a bit now) I'm married and have two wonderful children we all live in Devon in the South West of England - on the Cornish border.
